Corian® Solid Surface – Outdoor Use Warranty Disclaimer
Corian® Solid Surface is manufactured by DuPont and is designed primarily for
interior applications. While certain colors (including Group 1 colors such as Linen)
may exhibit improved UV stability compared to other Corian colors, standard
Corian Solid Surface is not engineered, warranted, or guaranteed for exterior or
outdoor use.
No Warranty for Outdoor Use
Any use of Corian® Solid Surface in outdoor or exterior environments, including
but not limited to exposure to direct sunlight, UV radiation, heat, moisture,
temperature fluctuations, or weather, is outside the intended and warranted
use of the material.
Accordingly:
• No warranty—express or implied—is provided for Corian® Solid Surface
used outdoors, including tabletops or horizontal surfaces.
• This includes, but is not limited to, issues related to:
o Color change, fading, or yellowing
o Gloss reduction or surface dulling
o Heat-related expansion, distortion, warping, or cracking
o Surface degradation or appearance changes over time
o Joint, seam, or adhesive failures
End-User Acceptance of Risk
By specifying or approving Corian® Solid Surface for outdoor use, the customer
acknowledges and accepts that:
• Visible changes in appearance and performance may occur over time,
even with Group 1 colors.• Such changes are not considered defects and do not qualify for warranty claims.
Limited Warranty Scope
• Our standard 1-year warranty applies only to the outdoor table bases
supplied.
• No warranty applies to Corian® Solid Surface tabletops used in outdoor
applications.
• Any repair, replacement, or remediation related to the Corian surface due to
outdoor exposure is the sole responsibility of the customer.
Recommended Alternatives
For exterior applications, we strongly recommend materials specifically
engineered and warranted for outdoor use, such as porcelain or sintered stone
surfaces.
